CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION AND BE PART OF MALAYSIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (MMA) 2023 - LARGEST CROWD OF THE YEAR
KUALA LUMPUR, 10 JUNE 2023 — 3rd time in a row for 2023, a very successful Ultrasound Workshop; Sains Medika did a great program, titled "Fundamentals of Abdominal and O&G Ultrasound". The aim of the program is to provide a wonderful opportunity for doctors in the private and government sectors who concentrate on primary healthcare, to experience themselves with our ultrasound machines.
A total of 116 participants were from various hospitals and clinics in Malaysia; among them was Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Klinik Kesihatan Penampang, Sabah. This is the highest no. of participants in our record, all thanks to MMA’s efficient organizing committee.
The morning hands-on session started covers 2 topics - Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Basic Abdominal. Six (6) ultrasound stations were set up with EDAN Acclarix LX9, EDAN Acclarix LX3, and EDAN Acclarix AX3. The hands-on session was facilitated by Prof Anushya Vijayanathan, Dr. Kartik Balaraman, Dr. Adienuar, Dr. Muniswaran, Dr. Vicky and Dr. Farhana, and all participants were very happy with their sharing.
In the afternoon, the hands-on session was focused on Cardiology. Dr. Adienuar, Dr. Kumaran & Dr. Ridwan’s knowledge sharing was really insightful where the participants picked up the correct methods of heart scanning and what they need to look out for.
In addition, the Acclarix LX9, which features improved workflow, updated user interface, and better algorithms, was the most striking product during the workshop. Live scans on patients, participants can see a variety of Ultrasound applications from Radiology, Cardiology, and Obstetrics.
Sains Medika really looking forward to sharing more live scan experiences with all doctors in Malaysia.
